Cotton Lingerie Care

Qualities
Well-known for its comfort and breath ability, cotton is also durable and easy to care for.  Beware of excessive shrinkage.  Sometimes, taking a larger size is suggested.  No matter what material your panties are made from, a cotton gusset is always recommended.  Elastic, supple, absorbs warmth and humidity.

Care
No restrictions, withstands high temperatures and can be machine washed. Washing shrinkage between 3 and 5%.  Creases therefore require ironing.

LYCRA/SPANDEX Care Guidelines

Qualities
Usually blended with nylon, polyester, silk or cotton, it gives garments stretch and flexibility.  Don’t get discouraged if your garment is not 100% cotton, a touch of Spandex is beneficial for fit and shape retention.

Care
Machine washable at medium temperature. Does not crease easily, no ironing. Cannot withstand hot irons ( they melt! ).

Polyester Lingerie Care Guidelines

Qualities
Strong and quick drying attributes make this a very popular lingerie material.  Higher quality polyester and those blended with Lycra tend to feel better next to the skin and fit the body well.

Care
Machine washable at medium temperature. Does not crease easily, no ironing. Cannot withstand hot irons ( they melt! ).

Silk Lingerie Care Guidelines

Qualities
A luxurious lingerie fabric that is lightweight drapes beautifully and feels great against the body.  Extreme softness and shine. Produces fabrics with incomparable beauty and hang. Thermo protective.

Care
Gentle in order to preserve its qualities.  Hand wash in cool water: use mild soap powders.  Sensitive to heat (therefore colourfast problems)  and rough treatment. Wash colour separately.  Prints: dry flat. Do not soak. Creases.

lingerie care guide

Hand washing lingerie with mild soap is highly recommended. Machine washing may be too harsh on delicate embroideries. Hooks may snag intricate laces. Hang to dry or reshape and dry flat.  We're sure you will treasure your fine lingerie for years to come.

Fabric does more that make your lingerie look beautiful, it determines how it feels next to your skin and how well it fits your body.
